JONATHAN SINTES
OWNER | DIRECTOR OF ATHLETE DEVELOPMENT
Jon Sintes' baseball journey is a testament to passion, dedication, and innovation. Starting as a standout at Choctawhatchee High School in Florida, Jon advanced to collegiate baseball at Pensacola State College and the University of West Florida. His professional career spanned teams across leagues such as the Pecos League and the Mexican Pro League, where he achieved an impressive 3.21 ERA and 487 strikeouts over 415 innings.
In 2013, Jon founded Cutternation in San Diego, combining traditional baseball fundamentals with cutting-edge technology to optimize player development. As the owner, Director of Player Development, and Padres Scout Team Pitching Coach, Jon’s expertise and ability to connect with athletes have established Cutternation as a premier destination for aspiring players. Through a holistic approach that includes technical, mental, and strategic training, Jon Sintes and Cutternation are redefining baseball coaching, empowering athletes to unlock their potential and achieve their goals.
ERICK LOPEZ
PITCHING | TEAMS COORDINATOR | TEAMS COACH
Erick Lopez has been a coach at Cutternation since 2020, having trained under owner, Jon Sintes, since 2017. A three-year varsity starter at Mission Bay High School, Erick excelled as a two-way player, earning MVP Pitcher honors his senior year and a Second Team All-League selection. He went on to pitch at San Diego Mesa College as a reliever, later earning a scholarship to Avila University in Kansas City, where he led his team in saves for two years. Erick also competed in the Summer Collegiate League with the Lincoln Potters, earning Pitcher of the Week. His deep passion for baseball drives him to support athletes in all aspects of the game and beyond
DANNY GUTIERREZ
TEAMS COORDINATOR | TEAMS COACH
Danny Gutierrez joins Cutternation with a strong athletic background, having played varsity baseball and football at Olympian High School, earning Second Team All-League honors as an outfielder. He continued his baseball career in the NCAA Division II PAC West Conference at the Academy of Art University, later competing at Bethesda University in the NCCAA, where he played in back-to-back Christian World Series Tournaments. With experience in amateur and semi-pro leagues in Tijuana and continued play in San Diego’s top adult league, Danny’s expertise and commitment to player development make him a valuable addition to our coaching staff.
NICK SEAMONS
HITTING | ADV BP | HIGH SCHOOL
An elite player with a championship resume, Nick is bringing next-level experience, leadership, and passion to our program. From earning Palomar League MVP and All-State honors at Rancho Bernardo High to making his mark at Lewis-Clark State College (LCSC), Nick has been a force at every level of the game. At LCSC, he racked up a .319 career batting average, 181 hits, 34 home runs, 143 RBIs, and 2 Gold Gloves, while leading his team to back-to-back NAIA National Championship appearances in 2022 and 2023. Beyond the diamond, Nick’s dedication earned him a degree in Kinesiology and Academic All-Conference recognition. Nick Seamons isn’t just a coach—he’s a game-changer. JAROD REYES
HITTING COACH
Jarod Reyes, known by some as “Hareed,” has been a hitting coach at Cutternation for over a year. He brings a strong background in baseball from his high school days at Leland High, where he earned Defensive Player of the Year twice and First Team All-League honors. After a year at Grossmont College, he transitioned to coaching, focusing on developing players’ skills both as hitters and as individuals. His goal is to prepare athletes for the next level, sharing his experiences to help them succeed on and off the field.

Jonny’s journey from a left-handed catcher in 2020, to mastering the position as a righty is a testament to his relentless work ethic and passion for the game. What sets Jonny apart is the elite mentorship he received from some of the best catchers in the game. Learning directly from seasoned professionals, he not only mastered advanced techniques but developed a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed behind the plate. Now, Jonny brings that expertise to his coaching, combining hands-on experience and top-tier training to help catchers of all levels elevate their game.
